Monday: Rules are important because it provides structure and order to our lives and world. Without rules societies could not exist and it would be chaos. It is the same in photography. The rules provide guidelines for excellence and enhance the beauty and art of a photograph. Tuesday: Symmetry- Use Symmetry to Improve Your Photographs
Symmetry is all around us and has always been associated with beauty, so why not use it? Depending on how you are holding the camera and how much of a scene you choose to show, you can strengthen or weaken the symmetric properties of an object or scene. Roberto Valenzuela shows you how. This chapter is from the book SYMMETRY refers to a line that splits an object in half and, if both sides of the object are an exact mirror image of each other, then this object is said to be symmetrical. The line that splits a symmetrical object is called the line of symmetry. Symmetry is a powerful tool that lets you automatically create harmony and a sense of aesthetically pleasing balance and proportion in a photograph. You probably remember learning about symmetry in geometry class, but I rarely see photographers apply it in their work. That’s too bad, because symmetry is a powerful photographic tool. Symmetry is all around us and has always been associated with beauty, so why not use it? Depending on how you are holding the camera and how much of a scene you choose to show, you can strengthen or weaken the symmetric properties of an object or scene. Although there are many types of symmetries, for our purpose let’s focus on two types:

Wednesday: absent Thursday: Article: http://www.ultimate-photo-tips.com/photography-rules-of_composition.html Photo: https://fcaphotonewcomb.weebly.com/blog/rules-of-photography This rule demonstrates a balance between things that are one in front of the other. By placing one larger thing behind a smaller things, there can be. a balance where the two look the same size. This here demonstrates that. This is different than asymmetry because its not making the photo symmetrical, its making the objects look balanced. Friday: I have found that getting the exposure right and adjusted properly in different times of the day takes some time to get used to. Another thing that i have found is that shadows shift during the different times, which can leads to cool different effects and angles. The third thing that i have noticed is that the time of day can completely change the story the photo tells. Depending on the time and angle, the photo can have a completely different thee to it.
